Rhea:
Rhea is the Titan goddess of female fertility, motherhood, and generation. She married her brother, Kronos, and had 6 children with him (Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus. Kronos ate 5 of those children). Rhea, having witnessed her husband swallowing her previous 5 children whole, consulted her mother, Gaea. Gaea told her to go to the land of Crete, where nymphs would look after and raise her next son, Zeus. Rhea did as Gaea said, and, when Zeus was born, she returned to Kronos with a rock wrapped in “baby clothes.” Kronos was fooled and he swallowed the rock, thinking it to be his son. Rhea was considered the “mother of the gods”, but she didn’t have many followers. She’s often portrayed as having a couple of lions with her.
