So, now that I've changed my rap stage name to Atlas, I think I'm just going to tell you guys about the Titan Atlas from Greek mythology.

So, in Greek mythology, Atlas was the son of the Titan Lapetus and the Oceanid Clymene, and the brother of Prometheus, the creator of humankind, Epimetheus, and Menoetius. He's one of the most famous Titans in Greek mythology. He was the leader of the Titan rebellion against Zeus. After the Titanomachy, the gods punished him by making him hold up the sky for all of eternity, and he was only once relieved of this punishment, temporarily, by Hercules (let me know if you guys want me to make a post about Hercules, too!). The most popular story of Atlas is the one of his punishment of holding up the sky and the heavens. Some stories say that the sky was actually placed directly on his shoulders, while other stories claim that he holds the two pillars that hold the sky up. Personally, I believe it was placed directly on his shoulders, because the other "theory" doesn't really seem like much of a punishment for a Titan that would lead a rebellion against Zeus and the other gods.
