Okay, so, I know I've already posted part 6 and 7 today, but I'm going to post part 8 too, because I have got nothing to do, to be honest.

Demeter:

Roman name: Ceres. Demeter was the goddess of the harvest and presides over grains and the fertility of the earth. She was also the goddess of sacred law and the cycle of life and death. Her symbols include wheat, the torch, bread, and cornucopia. She could cause plants to either grow or not grow, and had control over the seasons as well. Also, she sometimes had control over the weather and could even make people hungry. She gave birth to a flying and talking horse named Arion. Also, as a reward to a kind man, she tried to make his baby immortal by placing him in a fire. She is thought to be the most generous of the gods and goddesses. She revealed the art of growing and using corn to mankind. Demeter, like Hades, decided to stay neutral during the Trojan War.
