Roman Gods and Goddesses (Pt. 12)

Vulcan:

The Roman counterpart of Hephaestus, he’s the god of fire, blacksmithing, and the forges. His forges are usually in volcanoes or conflagrations. It’s said that Vulcan had a forge beneath Mount Etna, where he made weapons used by the gods and goddesses. The fires and smoke escaping the volcano were believed to be from Vulcan’s forges.
