Roman Gods and Goddesses (Pt. 8)

I haven't posted anything on the Roman Gods and Goddesses in a while, so I'm going to post part 8.

-

Ceres:

The Roman counterpart of Demeter, she is the goddess of the growth of food and plants, agriculture, grain crops, fertility, and motherly relationships. She’s often worshipped with the earth goddess Tellus. She was the daughter of Saturn and Ops and the sister of Jupiter. She is symbolized by sickle, torches, crown of sheatstalks, and cornucopia with fruits. Her sacred animals are pigs and snakes.
